Monday 2nd January 2012

We spent the day today, unpacking and tacking down the Christmas Tree.  Josh got his new Christmas gift working - Garmin running watch and went out for a run.  By the time he came back we decided to head out together for a nice dinner to end the holiday.  Now back to work tomorrow.

Zermatt - Rest of the Week

The rest of the week was spent skiing, check out some of the photo’s below!
New Years Eve we went out again for another 5-course menu! Then joined the street party in town where we saw some pretty good fireworks and had a dance!  Then New Years Day we headed back to London, but Monday the 2nd is a day off work so nice to get everything sorted.

Christmas and New Years 2011 in Zermatt, Switzerland

Saturday the 24th December we flew Swiss Air from city airport (which was so nice) to Geneva, then we caught a train to Zermatt. We stayed the first night in a hotel as we where meeting the others the following day. The village was so beautiful and we had a really yummy sausage for a rather late lunch! We went out for dinner that evening at a really nice restaurant with a set 5 course menu – lets just say we stayed quite a while to finish the food and it was not the last 5 course menu we where having!

Sunday the 25th – Christmas Day – we opened our presents to each other this morning before meeting up with Simon’s brother Dave and heading off the Chalet. After dropping off our stuff we went skiing. Josh and I went with Larissa, only we missed the last ski lift down the mountain (4pm) so we had to ski down a road (off-piste) and in the dark no less – let’s just say it was quite stressful! That evening we met up with Ben (his parent’s chalet) and all went out to celebrate Christmas Day with another 5-course menu!
