Dublin 7th 8th June

Maladhide Castle - Sunday Tour
Us on the bus tour - it's an open top bus. Temple Bar area where we had lunch.
Clontaf Castle, where we stayed. Trinity College
Guinness Factory Pictures from sights around Dublin
This weekend we took an early flight at 6.30am to Dublin, Ireland. The taxi picked us up at 3.30am, so only a few hours sleep. We flew to Dublin, just the two of us and spend the day looking around the city. These are some of the photos from Dublin. We also looked around trinity college and saw the book of Kells. This is a pictorial manuscript of the gospels of Christ - pretty impressive, it was written over 1000 years ago. Overnight we stayed in a castle, which was heaps of fun. We had a lovely sleep-in, then went on a bus tour up around the coast around Dublin and visited Maladhide Castle. We caught a 9.10pm flight home, got some sleep before heading back to work on Monday. A short visit but ample time to see everything we wanted. It was nice and sunny on the Saturday, so it made it all the more enjoyable.
