AB's vs Barbarians
This Saturday, Mike, Lou, Lou T, Terry, Dave, Brendon, Josh and I went to Twickenham and saw the Barbarians beat the All Blacks and we got rained on in the process! The train ride home was something else - it was so busy the cue to get on the platform went all down the road! So we asked a nice officer after Terry made the suggestion we catch the train one stop in the opposite direction and then get on - we did and it worked excellently - we arrived with 5 min to spare to catch the train back otherwise we would have had to wait 30min! Mike even fitted in time for a quick snickers bar! After a long wet day Josh and I went out to a lovely Champagne bar for some girls birthday for there birthdays. On Sunday we had a nice roast dinner at Malcom's place. A very busy weekend. The photos are thanks to Mike who took his camera to the came - we forgot!

Lunch at the Croc in Cheshunt Thursday 3rd December
Today I took the day off and went the Cheshunt to visit Rach and Steve. We had a nice cup of tea when I arrived then Juliet joined us and we went for Lunch at the Crocodile. It was really nice catching up with everyone. In the evening I met Josh and we went shopping at Westfield, finally coming home to bed at 11.30!

A Fun Weekend
It has been a busy weekend this weekend - on Friday night was Mike's 30th so we all went to Motion Bar in Embankment - caught a taxi home, stopping into the dreaded McD's before crashing in bed. Saturday Josh and I went shopping before Josh took me out to dinner at Pied a terre a two star michelin restuarant in Charlotte street, it was amazing we had a tasting menu - 10 course (menu degustation)- each with a different wine.

Then on Sunday we went with Mike, Lou, Malcom, Lou T and Dave for Mike's birthday to Brixton to see Jimmy Carr.
An excellent weekend!

Catch Up
We have been doing mostly shopping since the last entry - we have booked a holiday to Lapland to go Dog Sledding and then Skiing so we have been spending lots of our time shopping for Ski clothes, doing a bit of Yoga and catching up with friends. A couple of weekends ago Larrisa, Steve, Josh and I went out for dinner at a Mexican Cafe then Larrisa and I went on to see the musical Wicked - it was really good - although we where 3 rows from the front and sitting on the side so not the best view but Larissa got the tickets really cheap so it was excellent value for money. Then on the Sunday it was a little bit sunny here (for a change - it's been really windy) so Josh and I went to Covent Garden and had a great lunch before doing our shopping. This weekend Josh went with work to see the All Blacks beat England and I went shopping with Louise and brought some great boots - 10% off - I told Josh they where an absolute bargin!!! Then in the evening Malcom watched Twilight with me then we met up with Josh and went to see New Moon - one after the other - how sad! Good on Malcom! Mum you wanted a picture and since I have nothing much exciting except my fantastic new boots I thought I'd put them on for the photo!

Vilamora - Check out Josh!
The lovely seats on the beach - the hotel is in the background.
View of the Marina from our hotel room.
We came back from Munich and had 3 days at work then left home at 4am on Friday morning to head to the Algarve, Portugal for a long weekend. We stayed in Vilamora. On the Friday we looked around Vilamora and spent the day relaxing. We hired a car from the airport and Josh drove in Europe for the first time - a little scary to start but we made it! We got a little lost getting out of Faro (no GPS of map only a road atlas I was trying to read) but finally made it 40min down the road to Vilamora. On Saturday we took the car and drove along the coast and stopped off at the different beaches and had a look around, driving all the way to Sagres and the southern most tip of Europe! Saturday night we spent in a piano bar in Vilamore watching all the oldies boggie! Sunday we had a nice sleep a walk on the beach then flew back to London for Josh to start his secondment for work.

Saturday in the Beer Garden (all the Italians are singing some Italian song). I was sitting right behind the guys in white t-shirts and it wasn't long after this that one fell on me! Thank goodness no beer was spilt and not damage done! Unlike on Sunday in the tent some unruly NZer!!! (no one we knew) got drunk and fell on me spilling an entire Stein of beer on me so i stank like a brewery - i was covered shoulders to knees in beer!
Larissa and I enjoying our first Stein on Friday night
Beer Garden on Saturday afternoon with Corney
Josh on the shooting!
The lion roars and we queued listening to it for 3 hours!
Josh, Tim, Steve, Simon
A group of us headed out to Munich on Friday morning to experience Oktoberfest. Some went home Sunday evening and the remainder of us did some sightseeing and went home on the Monday. We arrived on Friday and headed to Oktoberfest, enjoying the carnival side - Josh did not so bad on the shooting and won me a souvenir. We had dinner in a traditional German tent and I managed to get a wine! We had a beer in a garden bar and headed home (they stop serving at 11pm). Some of the others went out sightseeing on the Saturday but Simon, Tim, Larissa, Steve, Corney, Josh and I headed into Oktoberfest. It was absolutely mad! We queued for 3 hours to get into the Lowenbrau tent then gave up leaving some of the others in the cue. Josh, Corney and I enjoyed the rest of the afternoon in a garden bar with a whole group of Italians. It was Italian weekend and they where out in full force. We met up with the group to have dinner in town at the Hoffenbrou Hall. Due to our lack of success on Saturday we arrived at Oktoberfest at 7.30 am on Sunday morning and sure enough we got into the Hoffenbrou tent and spent the day there drinking - first Stein at 9am - a little difficult if I may say so. But the food was delicious - bratwurst and half a chicken! Some of the guys enjoyed the ribs. Due to a day of drinking we left at about 6 pm to go to bed! On Monday we had a walk around Munich and met up with the other to have lunch in the English gardens before returning to London. What can I say, what an experience!
