Ten pin bowling
We went back to doing a bit of sightseeing today. Josh and I started out a place called Funland - it is right next to picadilly station and it's five stories of spaces games, ten pin bowling, pool, ice hockey and dodgem cars. We enjoyed this throughly as it was raining and the perfect actvitiy. On the 1st July the smoking law changes and it becomes like NZ so we went to a cafe and had a shiska pipe and a coffee - for the last time since they will not be able to have them as of Sunday. It had then stopped raining so we took a walk around Picadilly. We saw Burlington House and the royal academy of arts - which we didn't go in as Josh wasn't interested!! We walked down Burlingon Arcade - totally amazing, it was built in 1819 and contains exquisite over priced jewlery. Futher along is the Ritz which we walked past we also saw Fortnum and Mason, grocers to the Queen, we didn't go into the building but just as we were walking past it was 3pm and the chimes went off and the man and women came out - very cool! We then walked around Mayfair and down Bond street and saw some of the most exclusive shops ever! We went into Tiffanys and saw De Beers. We then walked back along Regent Street - stopping for a beer and a glass of wine in a pup outside Green Park - we finished the day off by going into Hamleys toy store and couldn't resist a purchase! 5 stories of toys split into preschool, games, hobbies, boys, girls - in fact i think it had more than 5 levels and the stair case was done in the theme of Narnia!
