Painted Laddies - they are called this because they are victorian houses and are all painted in more than 3 colours. These are the most famous ones in California. It is illegal to destroy a victorian house and to not keep it up to scratch, if you dont't the city will reposses your house - a good reason to spend the weekend painting and on renno's!
The one used for Full House.
These are re-used bricks from the 1906 SF fire.

Golden Gate Bridge
We started today with what felt like an early start. We had a nice fruit and muffin for breakfast from room service before buying a city sightseeing bus ticket for all the tours. We started our first tour at 10am and went over the Golden Gate Bridge and visited the little town of Sausalito (a little fishing village). Although it was lovely and sunny and 16 degrees, it was windy and cold on the bus. The tour took about an hour and a half and we headed then for the city loop and took lunch in a diner in union square, sized up what we wanted to buy from the shopping and then went on the Golden Gate Park loop, where we visited not only the golden gate park but also the famous Alamo Square and saw the Painted Laddies. The yellow house in the middle is where Full House was filmed. The houses go for about $4 million. We saw the famous stage where all the famous musicians have once played, I was told lots of names but all I can remember is Tupac! We saw the church of Coltrane where the pastor plays the trumpet in the middle of the sermon and people are encouraged to bring their own instruments. It is actually the church of Johnny Coltrane. Once again we enjoyed the happy hour before heading out for yet another seafood dinner!
