The infamous hotel room!

Today we had a nice sleep and breakfast with our great host – a crazy Italian man. Then we drove the scenic route to Rome. We decided not to drive into Rome and arranged for our car to be dropped at the airport then we made our way to the hotel. Well I say hotel. Josh and I had decided to go all for location and select a 2 star place, we were fore warned and did know that the host was a really old man that didn’t really like his guests. We were somewhat surprised to meet a new host as the hotel had changed management 2 days ago. So we go into our room which is clean but basic and most of appliances are for show – the tv does not work and the telephone is not plugged into anything and the aircon. unit looks like it is going to catch on fire if we plug it in! We decide to make the most of it – have a shower and wash my hair. The shower is fine but there is no hairdryer so I begin my sightseeing adventure with wet, curly hair!! Anyway we went out and took photos of the Spanish steps and the Trevi fountain and looked around a bit before going to a trattoria for dinner. A really nice day.
