Mike and I outside the queue for the show
Today Josh, Louise, Mike and I went to go to a show with the presenter from American Idol called 'Has Britian Got Talent'. We qued around the block but the theatre was filled before we got to the doors. Lucky for us it was a lovely sunny day (actually Josh managed to get burnt) and we went on a walking tour of the sights of London.
We started off at Covent Garden and walked around the lovely pebbled roads with all the old buildings. The street performer we saw was like a statue and he moved, only slightly, when you gave him money. He grabbed my hand and wouldn't let go - all his brown paint was left on my hand. We then walked through Leichester square and into Trafalgar Square where we saw the National Gallary, Nelsons' Column, the famous lion statues and all the pigeons. We then walked through Admiralty Arch down "The Mall". The mall runs along St James park where we stopped and had a coke and chips. We then walked to Buckingham Palace and along to Big Ben and Parliment Square. At Parliment square we saw Big Ben and the parliment buildings and Westminster Abbey. We walked along Westminister bridge where we looked out over the Thames. We walked along the Thames - Southwark and then over the Millenium Bridge. The bridge is just by the Tate Modern and Shakesperes Globe, however we were to tired and decided we would go back another day. We walked past St Pauls Cathedral before going home. We went for dinner at the famous brick lane, which we find is only 5min from our place. Brick Lane is famous for it's indian food and everybody comes out onto the street and offers you special deals to 'entice' you into their restaurant. It was a really good day and great to see some of the sights. Tomorrow we will be back to house hunting as we have only 2 weeks left to find ourselves a flat to stay in.
