We rented a car from the airport and drove to our hotel (Radisson), on the Victoria and Alfred waterfront, just before 9am. It was overcast, we waited for the first free shuttle the hotel offered and went down to the waterfront. We had a look around and got a second breakfast. We then went to Canal Walk, a shopping centre with 600 shops. We didn’t buy anything but had a good look around. We check-in about 1pm an since Josh had e-mailed the hotels to say it was our second honeymoon, we where upgraded to a beautiful business class suite and a complementary bottle of Champagne, Chocolates and Cheesecake. All of which we enjoyed whilst having a gorgeous bath! In the evening Josh’s friend from high school (Jorn) and his wife Tam came to the hotel for some drinks and we went to the Cape Town Fishmarket and the waterfront for dinner. What a perfect first day.
