We had a great sleep-in, then at mid-day drove to Kirstenbosch botanical Gardens before taking the ferry to Robyn Island. We toured on a bus around the Island then around the prison where Nelson Mandela was held for 18 years – he spent the remaining 9 years at other prisons. Our tour guide was an ex-inmate. In the evening we met up with Josh’s friend Dave at the waterfront where we had a drink and dinner. It was beautifully sunny today and Josh got a little burnt!
