Today Josh left to go Skiing in Switerland with work. I spent the day with Rach and Steve, we had lunch at the pub with a gentleman Rach takes out once a month. I had tea with my cousin Juliet - she's the mum of the cute kids from the other week. It was a nice day in total and of course we ended the day with Steve taking me shopping for shoes!

Monday 26th March
Josh started work today and I played housewife and started to job hunt. I won't be posting an entry everyday anymore, as it will get boring, i'll have to tell you all about what i ate for lunch - actually the oranges that cost me my wallet were very tasty! I will write when we do something and at least once a week. I made Josh take the photo - in his suit and new Jacket, for those of you who enjoy Borat "Look at me I am a londoner, I have a suit, I am going to work"!!
Sunday 25th March
We went to Hillsong Church this morning, it's run in a theatre, it was really great to worship God again, it's been 4 weeks since we went to church now. Louise moved in with us this afternoon, she's sleeping on a blow-up bed in the lounge (see the picutre). We finally decided to visit the markets that our outside of our place (we brought some exquisite oranges, humus and olives and then finally a freshly squeezed juice smoothie. I had shopping in one hand, the juice in the other and because i was carring the juice and put my coin purse in my jacket pocket and about 1 min later i realized it was taken! Amazing, so quick! And i had no idea who had taken it. It only had 5 pounds in it and my new Oyster Travel Card, but it only had about 5 pounds left on it and my NZ drivers licence. I will be much more vigalent from now on and am thankful that it didn't have anything else in it! Nether the less we do not carry around our visa cards in our wallet!
We ended the day nicely by going out for a nice Indian in the evening - with Louise, Mike and Dave. Mike wanted a photo on the blog but i forgot to take a photo - sorry Mike, next time I promise. The other picutre is of Lou and Josh on the underground platform.

London Saturday 24th March
We began this morning with a bit of shopping on Oxford Street. It was orignianlly to buy Josh an overcoat for work - you will see it in the photos. When Josh brought it he stepped out onto the street and said "Look at me, I have a coat, I am like a London man" (aka Borat). It was hilarious, if we had a video camera i would put it on the blog for all of you. Anyway, we also ended up buying Josh another skivey because I did the washing last night and shrank everything!!!!! Oh yeah!!! It's a washing machine and dryer all in one and i'm not quite sure how to use it, so it may have been the dryer (which took 3 hrs to dry the clothes) or maybe i washed it all in hot water!! Who knows but i'm going to have to read the manual before i'm allowed anymore pocket money for doing the washing! When we were buying the suit we met a general in the kuwait army! we wanted to ask for a photo but didn't think he would like it much! We went to Marks and Spencers and Josh brought a cheese and chutney sandwhich - we took a photo of it - just for you claire. We also visited Harrods - very fancy - we only brought a chocolate truffle each. We tried to take a picture of one set of escalators they have, which is done in an Egyptian theme, but it didn't come out that well. The food part of Harrods was amazing, you could choose your food, then you would wait in a cue till a seat was free and they would cook the food for you. It was like a market only all indoors and all gourmeat food - you could obviously take it with you to.
London Friday 23rd March
Today was a day of sorting things out - getting a bank account, Josh got a haircut for work and figuring out the underground. We brought Oyster cards - prepay cards to get on and off the underground. - That's what I am holding up in my hand in the photo. We caught the underground to the bank and hairdressor which was in Piccadilly. Then we ate lunch at the American Restaurnat Cheers (from the TV programme). The buildings are so amazing and beautiful. At the hairdressing salon - Josh brought me an fancy hairstraightner - GHD brand (for those of you who know). In the evening we met Mike, Dave and Louise in London Bridge for dinner and a pint at the pub! The pub still rang a bell at 11.45 to say last drinks, we headed off just after midnight as the last tube leaves about that time. We pay about 8 pounds a day to ride the tube and busses in the city zone as much as we like. We can get a month pass but because Josh walks to work we haven't done that yet. It has been cold outside, but it's nice and warm inside, which makes it alright.

London 22 March
Today Steve drove us into our apartment. The place is quite big, you will see it has big steps to come up, then a hallway which has my hair products in the corner!! Off the hallway is the bedroom - with a nice big double wardrobe and the bathroom. Then you come into the lounge, which has a kitchen table behind the sofa and then the kitchen bench. It has central heating. It's in a great location, right outside the market, with lots of shops and people around and in 5 min walking distance from liverpool street station. We will be here for 4 weeks. It took a bit of finding to locate the key safte and then to find the apartment - Steve took photos of us from the car. Other photos are some that Steve took from our apartment window of the markets and of the street.
Cheshunt 22nd March - England
We had a restful day today - that is after we went shopping for a few hours to
Harlow, which is in Essex. We dove through the countryside again which is nice. Before dinner Josh and Steve went to Josh's firsdt English pub and met Steve's ex-convict friend - how nice! - Fresh out of jail! Then we packed up all our stuff as tomorrow we go to London! Reality is getting closer.

Cheshunt 20th March - England
Today was cold again and we went to my niece and nephews house - Josh (6yrs) and Rebecca (7yrs) to visit as Rach looks after them every tuesday. They live in Heartford - we drove through real English countryside and saw a real English farm and small castle! We went to the shopping centre and Steve found cannabis smelling incense - we brought it but just to let you know it doesn't smell like cannabis. Whilst we were there it actually snowed!!! Josh raced out and threw a snowball. It only snowed for about 20min then melted away. Josh and little Josh played soccer today aswell. We had a nice lunch out in the town and i was in bed by 8pm - exhausted! The last photo is of me with the dog - Tilly, she's half grayhound - such a nice dog!
